Arvilla Rose Bozell, 98 of Columbus

Arvilla Rose Bozell, 98, of Columbus, passed away at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was born in Jennings County, Indiana on June 19, 1927, the daughter of Edgar and Elizabeth (Crank) Galyen. She was a former Westport resident and a graduate of Sandcreek High School. She has lived in Columbus since 1954 and was an Avon representative for 71 years. Arvilla enjoyed fishing, doing puzzles, and playing dominoes. She really loved water aerobics and social media. Arvilla married Robert M. “Bob” Bozell on June 22, 1954, in Taylorsville, Indiana. He preceded her in death on October 8, 2013. Survivors include her sons, Keith M. (Rita Vaughn) Bozell of Butlerville and Kenneth W. (Mary) Bozell of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; her grandchildren, Brian Bozell, Nicole Rogers, Kyle Bozell, Kellie Cortez, Kendell Bozell, Michelle Pino and Nathaniel Pino and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Orville, Otto and Harold Galyen and a great granddaughter, Kasey Bozell. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, January 31 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Due to inclement weather burial will take place at a later date at Butlerville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association for Pediatrics through the funeral home.
