
(New Marion, IN) – Three medical helicopters were sent to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 421 near County Road 925 South in the New Marion area Tuesday afternoon.
Four people were extricated from the vehicles, with three of them flown to the hospital.
The fourth victim was transported by ambulance.
The names of the victims and their conditions were not available as of Wednesday morning.
It’s also not clear if snow-covered and icy road conditions played a role in the crash.
Responding agencies included the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office; Indiana State Police; Ripley County EMS; New Marion Volunteer Fire Department; Versailles Fire Rescue; Norton Kings Daughters EMS; UC Air Care; Stat Flight; and Kentucky 2.
