(Southeastern IN) – Because of the weather situation and resulting hazardous driving conditions, Rumpke Waste and Recycling has announced there will be no Monday, January 26 garbage pickup for Southeastern Indiana customers.
Trash collection will be on a one-day delay for the rest of this week in the City of Batesville, along with Ripley, Franklin, Decatur and Dearborn counties.
For Batesville residents, Tuesday collection will shift to Wednesday, January 28 and Friday collection will be moved to Saturday, January 31.
“We don’t take the decision to suspend services lightly. However, we must put the safety of our team members, our customers and the motoring public first,” said Ben Rumpke, the company’s operations manager. “Our plan is to collect Monday customers on Tuesday, and Tuesday customers on Wednesday, and so on, with Friday customers collected on Saturday.”
