(Batesville, IN) – The owner of Randy’s Roadhouse is working to calm rumors surrounding the longtime Batesville restaurant, confirming that while the business has been listed for sale, it remains open and operating as usual.
In a social media post Sunday night, owner Randy Stoneburner said Randy’s Roadhouse will continue serving customers “for the foreseeable future,” with the same staff, food and service patrons have come to expect.
“For the foreseeable future Randy’s Roadhouse is open with the same wonderful staff providing the same great food and service that you have come to expect from us,” Stoneburner wrote.
Stoneburner confirmed that he and his family have listed the restaurant and property for sale with Bob Koester of Tudor Square Realty. He said the decision comes after several years of downsizing and was driven by personal considerations.
“In recent years for a variety of personal reasons we chose to downsize our operations,” Stoneburner said. “After careful consideration and for the same personal reasons we have now decided to sell. The short version is that it’s just time.”
Stoneburner emphasized that there is no timeline for a sale and no immediate changes planned for the business.
“We have no idea how long it might be before a suitable buyer may be found,” he wrote. “Rest assured that for now nothing changes. We are here looking forward to serving you.”
Randy’s Roadhouse has been part of the Batesville community for nearly three decades. Stoneburner said the restaurant has operated successfully for 29 years and expressed deep appreciation for the guests who have supported the business over that time.
“We have been successful for a long time,” he said. “With great pride we have truly enjoyed owning Randy’s Roadhouse and hosting our many amazing guests this past 29 years.”
Stoneburner closed his message by thanking customers for their loyalty and support.
“We appreciate our guests more than words can ever express,” he wrote. “Thank you for supporting us for all these years, you made our dreams come true and you are the best.”
