Joseph “Justin” Ammer, 56 years old of Dover, IN passed away suddenly Saturday, January 17. Originally from Cincinnati, Justin graduated from LaSalle High School before attending IUPUI. Many people will recognize Justin’s smiling face from his 25+ years working as a clerk at Harrison Kroger. He loved his job there and made many friends along the way. He got along with everyone so making friends came easily for Justin. Fishing was one of Justin’s favorite things to do. If there was a fishing hole he knew about it. If he saw a fishing pole and reel, he had to have it and spared no expense when it came to his hobby. Nearly every night, Justin would be outside playing with his remote control car. If it wasn’t his RC car that sparked his interest that evening, he would be in the garage working on his blue ’71 Chevy Camaro. His love for cars was strong so enjoyed tinkering with all of them, big or small. Justin also loved his pets. Growing up he had two cats and most recently had another cat he considered one of his best buddies.
Justin will be deeply missed by Pam, his wife of 25 years; siblings Joan (Robert) Oton and Rob Ammer. He is preceded in death by his parents Mary and Robert Ammer.
