
(Versailles, IN) – Versailles Fire Rescue handed out some hardware at the department’s annual awards banquet on Saturday evening.
The Firefighter of the Year for 2025 is Jason Hooten; The Chief’s Award winner is Jayden Hunger; and the Officer of the Year is Randy Hornsby.
Recognized for years of service were James Vest for 20 years; Bryan Buchanan 15 years; and Tony Franklin, Tanner Franklin, and Nathan Pelfrey for five years each.
Members with the Top Training Hours were: Hooten, Robert Kelly-Anderson, Johnnie Seaver, Rick Dillion, and William Moore were recognized for the most training hours for the year.
The 2025 Top 10 Responders Pelfrey, Kelly-Anderson, Hooten, Hunger, Hornsby, Brad Dillion, Tony Franklin, William Moore, and Rick Dillion.
Buchanan was named Top Responder.
Officers who were promoted and pinned were Lt. Tony Franklin, Lt. Brad Dillion, Lt. Nathan Pelfrey, Safety Officer Jason Hooten and Deputy Chief Rick Dillion.
