With heavy hearts, and deep regret, we announce the passing of our beautiful, devoted mother, Margie Milbourn, at her home surrounded by her loving family, on January 18, 2026. She was born on March 23, 1946, at home in Franklin County, Indiana and where she remained her entire life.
She is now pain-free and at peace, embraced by our Lord and Savior while being reunited with her beloved daughter and husband. She was a lifelong, dedicated member of the Bible Baptist Church, in Metamora. Margie’s unwavering faith and devotion, even in the midst of the tragic loss, was at the forefront of her life and guided each step of her journey. She conquered every difficulty and trial throughout her life, never wavering in her faith or optimism. She lived an extremely full life, finding her greatest joys in being with family, being home and simple pleasures like walking, cooking, beach, playing bingo, watching “her” birds, and reading God’s word.
She taught us all the meaning of unconditional love, perseverance and family. She was always more than just a mom or mother, she was a best friend, the foundation and matriarch of our family. She will be deeply missed by her children, Michael (Michelle) Milbourn of Panama City Florida, Billy Milbourn (Brenda Bundy) of Metamora, Misty (Phillip) Miller of Connersville, and her grandchildren, Ashlie (Kevin) Kaiser, Shelbi Milbourn (Hannah Price), Austin (Madelin) Milbourn, Tanner (Madison) Miller, Kylie (Brent) Frank, Bailey, Juli, Declan, Addie and Sloane, who knew her best as Mamaw. She will also be missed by her surviving siblings, Lucy (Joe) Halcomb and Mae (Eldon) Barker.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband Bill; daughter, Kim; parents, Aaron and Cleona Parrett; brothers, Aaron, Donnie, Ernest, Harold; sisters, Sue Lynn, Barbara Wyatt; and great grandson, Fletcher Frank.
Though she has gone to be with the Lord, her memory and impact will remain forever in our hearts. “Goodbyes are not forever, are not the end; it simply means we will love and miss you until we meet again.”
Family and friends may visit from 4 until 7pm on Thursday, January 22nd at Bible Baptist Church, 19101 US-52, Metamora, Indiana 47030. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 23rd, at 11am at Bible Baptist Church with Dr. Ron McCullough officiating. Burial will follow in Metamora Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in honor of Margie may be directed to the Bible Baptist Church. Donations will be accepted in person at the visitation or by mailing them to the funeral home, 929 Main Street, Brookville, Indiana 47012.
