Rogers Erupts For 39

(St. Leon, IN) – East Central’s Liam Rogers put on a shooting show Saturday, hitting 9 3-pointers and scoring 39 points as the Trojans pulled away from Franklin County for a 70-47 EIAC win.

The Wildcats were within four after one quarter, but East Central’s second-quarter burst opened the game up. Rogers had 25 points by halftime as the Trojans took a 37-21 lead into the break, then kept control the rest of the way.

Aiden Hallahan added 13 for East Central, while Cole Reynolds and Aiden Dickerson scored six apiece.

Franklin County got 14 from Brady Foster, with Carson Allen and Evan Flaspohler finishing with 10 apiece. Jerod Rauch added six, Ezra Kolb scored five, and Gavin Gillman and Sam Foster had one each.

East Central improved to 6-7 overall and 2-0 in the EIAC. Franklin County fell to 4-8 and 1-4 in conference play.

Franklin County is back home Tuesday night to host Jac-Cen-Del. East Central returns to conference play Wednesday night on the road at South Dearborn. Both games will be broadcast on 103.9 FM and The WRBI App.
