(Greensburg, IN) – The Decatur County Soil & Water Conservation District will hold its Annual Meeting on Monday, February 2, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Knights of St. John Hall, in Greensburg.

The meeting will include a catered meal, election of supervisors, a recap of the district’s 2025 activities, conservation awards, and door prizes. The event is open to the public and is intended to highlight ongoing conservation work while providing an opportunity for community members to gather in a relaxed setting.

Soil and water conservation districts in Indiana serve as local units of government focused on protecting natural resources. They work with landowners, farmers, and residents to promote soil health, water quality, and responsible land use through education, technical assistance, and conservation programs.

Information provided by Scott Sanders, a natural resource technician with the district, indicates the annual meeting is also designed to help residents better understand how conservation efforts are carried out locally and how those efforts benefit Decatur County.

The evening will conclude with an entertainment program featuring Denny Baker, a Cincinnati-based comedy ventriloquist with more than 35 years of experience known for improvisation and audience participation.

Admission will be a free-will offering collected at the door. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP by Wednesday, January 28.
