Whitley Gets Probation

(Indianapolis) — Former Indiana Congressional candidate Gabriel “Gabe” Whitley has been sentenced to one year of probation following a felony intimidation conviction. The charges stemmed from a series of social media threats directed at political commentator Abdul-Hakim Shabazz, which included photos of Shabazz’s home and inflammatory messages that sparked safety concerns for his family. his legal trouble follows a separate federal case earlier this year where Whitley was sentenced to three months in prison for falsifying campaign finance records during his 2024 run for office.
