Diana Sue Schoettmer, 79, of Greensburg, IN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was born on September 2, 1946.
Diana was a hardworking and devoted woman throughout her life. She spent 35 years with Delta, eight years at Walmart, and later dedicated 10 years to Honda, retiring earlier this year. Outside of work, she found joy in the simple things—fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycles brought her great happiness. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life.
She was a longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Greensburg.
Diana married the love of her life, Bernard A. Schoettmer Sr., on October 22, 1966, and together they shared nearly 57 years of marriage until his passing on July 6, 2023.
She is survived by her son, Bernard Anthony (Sonya) Schoettmer II, and her beloved grandchildren: Hailey, Kinsley, and Anthony.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernard; her son, Bernard Michael; her daughters, Daphne Ann, Linda Sue, Brenda Kay, and Kathy Sue Ann; and all of her siblings.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Greensburg. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Father John Meyer officiating. Burial will take place at Hebron Cemetery in Adams.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or to the donor’s choice.
