MUNCIE, Ind — A Muncie man died after a shooting inside a home on the city’s east side. Police responded to a reported shooting in the 1100 block of East 29th Street on Saturday and found 28-year-old Marcus Brown with a gunshot wound. Medics took Brown to a hospital, where he later died. Investigators say Brown forced his way into the home while armed, and the homeowner, 33-year-old Daniel Songer, shot him. Police arrested Songer on charges of obstruction of justice and unlawful carrying of a handgun. Detectives continue to investigate and ask anyone with information to contact Muncie police.
