Emily Ann Bamonte, age 77 of Brookville

Emily Ann Bamonte, of Brookville, was born on September 3, 1948, in Batesville, Indiana, the cherished daughter of Paul and Rose Redelman (nee Wallpe). She was a proud graduate from Brookville High School, Greyhound Class of 1966. In July of 1989, she was united in marriage to the late Carl J. Bamonte, Jr., and together they built a life filled with joy and happiness. In her early years, Emily was employed at Hertel’s Restaurant and Hertel’s Liquor Store. She later began working at Franklin Casket Company, Inc., in Brookville, where she took great pride in sewing and creating casket interiors. Even in retirement, Emily continued to serve her community by working for Franklin County Public Transportation. In her spare time, Emily loved watching game shows on television, visiting the local casino for a bit of gambling, scratching her Hoosier Lottery tickets, and traveling. She was an avid animal lover who lovingly prepared home-cooked meals for her dog, including beef and noodles. Emily also enjoyed birdwatching and made sure the birds were always well fed. A gifted cook, Emily was especially known for her wilted lettuce, which no one could ever replicate. She was a devoted caregiver who took care of everyone around her, truly possessing a heart of gold.

On Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at the age of 77, Emily passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
