No Injuries Following Interstate Semi Fire

(Greensburg, IN) – No one was injured in a semi fire overnight on westbound I-74 in Greensburg.

Fire Chief Nathan Stoermer says the back brakes of a flatbed hauling steel coils caught fire at Mile Marker 134 around 12:46 a.m.

The flames spread to the tires, which caused sounds similar to an explosion.

Stoermer says there were no flammable liquids on board.

The vehicle was towed after Greensburg firefighters put out the flames.

Crews were on the scene until 1:15 a.m.
