The Batesville Bulldogs turned in a solid performance Monday night in a three-way swimming and diving meet against Connersville and Lapel at the Connersville High School Natatorium.
On the girls side, Batesville earned a 95–63 victory over Lapel, but fell to Connersville 94–70 in the dual scoring.
The Bulldogs were led by Alexis Schiller, who won the 200 individual medley in 2:42.79 and placed second in the 500 freestyle (6:52.73). Batesville swept the top two spots in the 200 freestyle relay, with the A relay of Emma Miller, Alexis Schiller, Samantha Adams, and Harper Beshears winning in 2:07.28. Batesville also finished second and third in the 400 freestyle relay to close the meet.
Additional strong performances came from Emma Miller, who finished second in the 100 butterfly, and Grace Copley, who placed third in the 100 freestyle.
The Batesville boys also split their duals, defeating Lapel 93–60 and falling to Connersville 94–70.
Ben Kuntz led the way with victories in the 50 freestyle (25.03) and the 100 freestyle (57.01). Collin Vogelsang earned first place in the 100 breaststroke (1:17.61), while Matthew Lambert placed second in the 500 freestyle. Batesville closed the meet on a high note by winning the 400 freestyle relay with Sam Richardson, Ben Kuntz, Matthew Lambert, and Parker Oldham touching first in 3:55.15.
Batesville showed depth across both lineups, particularly in relays, as the Bulldogs continue to build momentum heading deeper into the season.
