(Rising Sun, IN) – The Rising Sun Regional Foundation (RSRF) awarded a total of $255,900 in new grants in the fourth quarter of 2025.
These grants included:
● City of Aurora, $30,000 for Aurora Little League field improvements;
● City of Batesville, $10,000 for Batesville Skatepark improvements;
● Batesville Memorial Public Library, $10,000 for signage;
● Heart House, $35,000 for emergency walk-in cooler and freezer;
● Hillforest, $1,400 for kitchen remodeling;
● Ohio County Rescue Services, $20,000 for portable radio upgrades;
● Ripley County Government, $40,000 for courthouse clock repair;
● Rising Sun Municipal Utilities, $20,000 for smart electric meters;
● Rising Sun Ohio County Community Schools, $35,000 for refrigerators and freezers;
● Rising Sun Volunteer Fire Department, $30,000 for SCBA units;
● Southeastern Indiana YMCA, $10,000 for summer camp relocation; and,
● Versailles Volunteer Fire Department, $14,500 for firetruck lighting.
Applications for the first grant cycle of 2026 must be submitted by 4 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
