Ann met the love of her life at a young age and knew immediately that he was the man she wanted to marry. She married Charles C. Peters on a sunny day in Metamora, May 29, 1952. Together the Peters’ began their journey traveling the world while Charles served his country in the United States Army. They celebrated 61 years of marriage prior to Charles passing in February of 2014.
Ann spent her life in the home, where she enjoyed the blessings of her husband and children. She had unwavering faith, and loved the grace she received from the Lord. Ann and her family attended Metamora Bible Baptist Church.
Ann was the type of woman that enjoyed the simple things in life, and nothing beat a good hair day and a fresh coat of paint on her nails. She loved nothing more than to go on shopping adventure with her family; she was always ready to go at a moment’s notice. Ann treasured jewelry and trinkets, just about anything that put a sparkle in your eye. Her cell phone was her lifeline, she always said it was her way of keeping those she loved close to her. Anyone that knew Ann knew she was a pleasure to be around. She brightened every room she walked into, she was always smiling, and she just simply loved being with people. Ann loved nothing more than to spend time with her family especially her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children; a daughter, Leasa (Robert) Day, sons, Charles David (Peggy) Peters and Greg (Gayle) Peters. Ann’s memories will live on in her grandchildren; Darin (Devan) Day; Dianna (Jake Sizemore) Day; Dara (Michael Brankamp) Day; Chuck (Elaina) Peters; Shelly (Sam) Simmermeyer; Emily (Chuck) Denning; Gregory (Kaleigh) Peters; Shane (Erin) Peters; Jana (Ethan) Eggleston, Johnathan Peters and her beloved great-grandchildren; Zoe, Allison, Maggie, Madilyn, Laci, Sammy, Marley, Ray, Arabella, Charlotte, Harper, and Harlan.
Along with her parents and husband, Charles, she is preceded in death by her siblings; brothers; Lawerence Allen, David Allen, sisters; Jeanette Deaton, and Priscilla Scott.
