(Batesville, IN) – Batesville City Councilman Derrick Cox took to social media Wednesday to say the railroad tracks at the entrance to Hillindale Commons off State Road 46 are getting long-awaited repairs.
Cox says CSX was originally supposed to make repairs two autumns ago, then promised the tracks would be fixed last fall.
“We’ve been needing this fix for a long, long time. This place has been an eyesore and a wreck to drive over for years,” Cox said. “It’s finally getting done. My tires thank you.”
The disrepair caused a number of tire and realignment issues to vehicles going across the tracks to get in and out of the subdivision.
