South Ripley throttled Shawe Memorial 78-29 in boys basketball last night. Raider sophomore Eli Gilpin led all scorers with 24 points. Junior Drew Volz added 15 for the Green and White. South Ripley improves to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in the ORVC….And it was Jennings County over Greensburg 63-52. The Pirates dip to 2-3.

On the girls side, Class 3A #3 Greensburg went on the road and downed Connersville 58-46. The Pirates go to 6-3 overall and 1-1 in the EIAC.

Milan visits Batesville in boys basketball tonight. WRBI airtime will be around 7:15.

The Indiana Pacers entertain the newly-crowned NBA Cup champion New York Knicks tonight. Coverage begins following high school basketball.

The Cincinnati Reds have reached agreement on a contract with free agent lefthanded reliever Caleb Ferguson, according to MLB.com. Ferguson posted a 3.58 ERA with 51 strikeouts over 65 1/3 innings in 70 appearances last year between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Seattle Mariners.

The Indianapolis Colts are still confident. That’s the sentiment from offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter as the team gets ready to play the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football. The Colts have lost four games in a row, but Cooter says quarterback Phillip Rivers has them feeling like they are in a good spot heading into the game. Defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo says his defense needs to be better in late-game situations and that they struggled down the stretch against Seattle.
