(Ohio County, IN) – INDOT contractor 5 Star Company, Inc. is scheduled to close State Road 56 between Hartford Pike and Old State Road 56 in Ohio County on or after Friday, December 12, to complete a culvert replacement project.
The closure will take place just west of Laughery Creek and is expected to take up to three days, weather permitting.
During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route which follows U.S. 50 to State Road 262 back to State Road 56.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.
All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
