Coming up tonight in boys play, South Ripley takes on North Decatur inside historic Tyson Audtorium in Versailles (pictured). It will be the first varsity game to be played in Tyson since 2008. Former South Ripley boys varsity basketball coaches who patrolled the sidelines in the facility built in 1950 will be honored during a halftime ceremony. In other boys games on the Saturday docket, East Central is at Whiteland; Franklin County visits Lawrenceburg; Jac-Cen-Del hosts Rising Sun; and South Decatur goes to Tri.
The Indiana Pacers topped the Chicago Bulls 120-105 in NBA action heard last night on the Sports Voice. It’s the Pacers first road win of the year. Paskal Siakam poured in a game-high 36 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Indiana. Bennedict Mathurin added 28. The Pacers improve to 4-18 and will be back in downtown Indy on Monday against Sacramento.
In college football, 2nd-ranked Indiana goes up against #1 Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship tonight at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Both teams are 12-o coming into the game, which kicks off at 8 p.m.
In the NFL tomorrow, the Cincinnati Bengals visit the Buffalo Bills. Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins has successfully passed concussion protocol and has been cleared to play tomorrow. And the Indianapolis Colts hit the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Both games kickoff at 1:00.
