(Batesville, IN) – A traffic change is coming to a Batesville intersection.
The city’s Street Department will install new stop signs at Delaware Road and Pohlman Avenue on Tuesday, which will convert the intersection to a four-way stop.
The intersection sits between Liberty Park and The Plex, which are two of the city’s busiest recreational areas with frequent foot traffic, including children moving between fields, trails, and play spaces.
Other recreational areas with The Plex include Bill Gillespie Soccer Park and the Batesville Skatepark and Outdoor Adventure.
City officials say the additional stop signs are being installed to improve safety for everyone using these facilities.
