South Ripley opened the boys basketball season by beating Jac-Cen-Del 75-43 in the Turkey Shootout heard last night on the Sports Voice. The Raiders Drew Volz led all scorers with 36 points. Darian Grieshop was the top scorer for the Eagles with 18. Teammate Lane Simon added 10.

Elsewhere around the area, it was Greensburg 61 North Decatur 45; Oldenburg Academy bested Switzerland County 60-45; Hagerstown got past Franklin County 46-41, and South Dearborn took care of Rising Sun 68-43.

In girls hoops action, Oldenburg turned back Union County 47-38; Lawrenceburg dispatched Franklin County 37-26, and Columbus East bested South Decatur 60-29.

The Indiana Pacers visit the Toronto Raptors in NBA Cup play tonight. WRBI airtime is 7 p.m.

Joe Burrow will start at quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals when they play the Ravens in Baltimore tomorrow night. Burrow has been out since September when suffered a turf toe injury that required surgery.

Former Bengals offensive lineman Willie Anderson and former Colts Robert Mathis, Reggie Wayne and Adam Vinitieri are among 26 Modern Era semifinalists for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2026. The Hall will announce 15 modern era finalists later this year to be considered for induction. Those 15 finalists will be considered by the Hall’s selection committee prior to Super Bowl LX.
