Beverly Jean (Taylor) Ehrman, 104

Beverly Jean (Taylor) Ehrman, 104, formerly of Burlington, IN, passed away peacefully 3:10 am Sunday November 23, 2025, at Morning Breeze Retirement Community in Greensburg, IN. She was born in Clinton County, IN, on June 26, 1921, the daughter of the late Claude and Flora (Magart) Taylor. On September 15, 1940, she married George P. Ehrman, and he preceded her in death on September 6, 1968.

Jean was a 1939 graduate of Burlington High School. She resided in Carroll County until 2012 when she moved to Tippecanoe County. She was a charter member of Faith Church of Christ in Burlington. The first church service of Faith Church of Christ was hosted in Jean’s living room. She attended Brady Lane Church of Christ in Lafayette. She was a Sunday School teacher and talented pianist at Koro Methodist Church. Jean was an avid quilter, crocheter, and seamstress. She held various jobs at Café’s in her early career including Ehrman’s Café, Burlington School Café, and her favorite being the Dinner Bell in Burlington. She served as Clerk Treasurer for the Town of Burlington from 1987 to 2002. Jean also sold Avon beauty products door to door for nearly 40 years.

She is survived by her children, Paul (Karen) Ehrman, Julia Ann Rodkey; daughter-in-law, Nancy Ehrman; sister-in-law, Nina Ehrman; grandchildren, Brent (Kristen) Ehrman, Luann (Bryan) Helvie, Greg (Angie) Ehrman, Rick (April) Ehrman, Brad (Tiffany) Landes, Dean (Megan) Landes; 20 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Max Ehrman; brother, Jewell Taylor; son-in-law, Tim Rodkey; and granddaughter-in-law, Heather Ehrman.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 am to 1 pm Wednesday November 26, 2025, at Stout & Son Funeral Home – Neptune Chapel, 44 S. Michigan St., Burlington, IN 46915. A funeral service celebrating Jean’s life will begin 1 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Lloyd Bloomfield officiating. Burial will follow in Burlington Cemetery.
