
(Milan, IN) – Milan High School and the community is marking Semi-state Spirit Week with several activities starting today and running through Friday.
This comes after the Indians football team earned a berth in the Class 1A Semi-state for the first time in 29 years with their 22-7 win at Providence in the Regional Friday night in a game heard on WRBI.
Students, businesses and community members are invited to show Milan pride.
There are a series of spirit days planned for Milan High School students this week:
- Monday – Jersey Day – represent your favorite team.
- Tuesday – Dress Like Al Day Flannel and jeans
- Wednesday – Future State Champion Day – dress like a grad or wear your favorite college gear.
- Thursday – Hat Day – donate to the food drive earn a pass to wear a hat in school.
- Friday – Black and Gold Day.
Meanwhile, businesses in town and Milan area residents are encouraged to deck store fronts, signs, porches, and windows in black and gold all week.
Milan entertains 2nd ranked South Putnam this Friday at 7:30 p.m. We plan to broadcast the game on The Sports Voice.
