In girls high school basketball Saturday night on the Sports Voice, South Ripley beat Jac-Cen-Del 48-17 to retain the traveling Pride Trophy (pictured). Kaiya Rinear and Aubrey Werner tossed in 13 a piece to lead the Raiders while Claire Samples added 11. Brooklyn Simon led the Eagles with eight points. South Ripley improves to 2-1; JCD falls to 0-3. Ripley also won the JV contest 37-30…Elsewhere, Batesville topped North Decatur 46-36. The Bulldogs Maggie Jelinek led all scorers with 26 points and pulled down 15 rebounds. Carmen Thackery poured in 15 to lead the Chargers; Oldenburg Academy rolled over Southwestern (Shelby) 49-19, and it was Northeastern over Franklin County 56-46.
