In high school football regional action heard last night on the Sports Voice, Milan went on the road and knocked off 4th ranked and defending Class 1A state champion Providence 22-7. The Indians improve to 7-4 and will host #2 South Putnam in next Friday’s semi-state…..In Class 5A, top ranked and undefeated New Palestine eliminated #7 East Central 20-6 in St. Leon. The Trojans end the season at 9-3.

Also in Southeastern Indiana, 3rd ranked and unbeaten Cascade topped #4 Lawrenceburg 37-33 in Class 3A action at The Pit.

South Ripley and Jac-Cen-Del renew their girls basketball rivalry tonight in Osgood. WRBI pregame coverage begins around 7:15.

In other girls hoops around the area, North Decatur is at Batesville; Franklin County goes to Northeastern; Oldenburg entertains Southwestern (Shelby), and Milan visits Morristown.

The Indiana Pacers return home tonight when they face the Toronto Raptors. WRBI coverage begins following high school basketball.

Coming up in college football on this Saturday, 2nd ranked Indiana is home against Wisconsin; #9 Notre Dame visits 24th ranked Pitt; Purdue journeys to Washington; Ball State is home against Eastern Michigan, and #25 UC hosts Arizona.

The Cincinnati Bengals return from the bye tomorrow in Pittsburgh against the Steelers. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.

The Indianapolis Colts have a bye this weekend.
