Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said Monday that quarterback Joe Flacco is day-to-day with a shoulder injury. Flacco suffered the injury late in Sunday’s 39-38 loss to the New York Jets. Taylor also listed defensive end Trey Hendrickson as day-to-day after he aggravated a hip injury on Sunday. And linebacker and special teams player Shaka Hayward will miss multiple weeks with an injured left fibula.

Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor has been nominated for the FedEx Ground Player of the Week. Taylor ran for 153 yards and two touchdowns, and had 21 receiving yards and another score in the Colts’ 38-14 win on Sunday over the Tennessee Titans. Fans can vote for Taylor through a link on the Colts website.

On Monday Night Football, it was Kansas City 28, Washington 7.

The Indiana Pacers are taking advantage of an extra rest day today. They face the Dallas Mavericks tomorrow on the road. WRBI coverage begins at 8 p.m. The injury report looks grim for Indiana. Seven players are listed as either “Day-to-Day” or “Out.” With that, the Pacers have signed guard Mac McClung to a multi-year contract, and have waived center James Wiseman. McClung was most recently with the Orlando Magic as part of their G-League affiliate. He is also the three-time reigning NBA All-Star Slam Dunk champion.

Indiana Hoosiers’ head football coach Curt Cignetti says Maryland will be another tough test for his team this Saturday. Cignetti gave lots of praise to the Terrpins’ defense, which he says is one of the best in the conference, giving up just 17 points a game. Indiana is #2 in the AP Poll again this week, but many are wondering how they will measure up in the eyes of the College Football Playoff. The first CFP rankings come out a week from today.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are back at it this week as they prepare to face Boston College on the road. Notre Dame has won five games in a row, and they are coming off a bye week. However, head coach Marcus Freeman says it was anything but down time for him and his squad. He says they used the bye week to clean up sloppy mistakes that have been nagging them despite their winning streak.
