In high school football sectional first round action heard last night on the Sports Voice, Franklin County eliminated Batesville 33-14 in Class 3A Sectional 30 at the Dawg Pound. The Wildcats advance in the tournament and improve to 8-2. The Bulldogs end the season at 3-7.
Elsewhere around the area, Greensburg dumped Purdue Polytechnic-Downtown 36-12; Eastern Greene bested South Decatur 34-20; North Decatur hammered Greenwood Christian Academy 56-12; and South Dearborn blanked Rushville 49-0.
