Pat H. (Johnson) Cleary, 79, Aurora

Pat H. (Johnson) Cleary, 79, of Aurora passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at her home with her loving family by her side. Pat was born on Wednesday, August 14, 1946, in Hazard, Kentucky; daughter of Kermit Johnson Sr. and Lula (Begley) Johnson. Pat married the love of her life, Donald “Don” Cleary, on June 9, 1984, and he preceded her in death on July 5, 2025. Pat enjoyed cooking, fishing, and making floral arrangements. She also loved hosting family gatherings, singing, and playing guitar. Most of all Pat cherished spending time with her family.

Pat will be missed by her sons James (Kellisa) Hunter of Owenton, KY and Jamie Lee (Crystal) Johnson of Patriot; daughters: Pamela Tingle of Milan, Libby (Stuart) Morrison of Lexington, IN, Debbra Proffitt of Milan, Donna Holt (Stephen Aleman) of Cincinnati, OH, and Danielle Cleary of Aurora; brothers Steve (Kim) Hensley of Colony, TX,  Jim (Kim) Block of Manchester, and Bob Block of Milan; sister Thelma Weiss of Van Wert, OH; many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; Granny and Papaw had so many kids at their home and their church.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents Kermit Johnson Sr. and Lula Johnson; husband Donald “Don” Cleary; sons Daniel “Danny” Cleary and Steven Hunter; Grandchildren Zachary Cleary, Colton Sizemore, and Cody Palmer; sister Rella Morris; and brothers Ted, Lee, Ed, and Kermit Johnson.

Family and friends may gather in remembering Pat from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM, Monday, October 27, 2025, at the Hope Baptist Church in Dillsboro: 15593 US-50, Dillsboro, IN 47018. Services will follow at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Jeremiah Gabbard officiating. Burial will follow at St. Martins Catholic Cemetery at 3:00 PM. Memorials may be given in honor of Pat to Hoosier Hills Baptist Church Camp.
