(Batesville, IN) – WRBI and 5 Oaks Garden Center in Batesville teamed up for the Garden of Eatin’ Giant Veggie Contest.
Doug Emsweller grew the largest tomato at 2.5 pounds.
The large cabbage from Jeff Zimmerman weighed in at 21.25 pounds.
Lucas Ault had the large zucchini at 5 pounds, 4.5 ounces.
Trevor Ault’s largest sweet potato checked in at 7 pounds, 6.5 ounces.
The largest pumpkin was grown by Jack Fisk, who owns the now-world-famous Ozzie Pumpkin, which tipped the scales at 450 pounds (pictured).
As WRBI reported last week, the giant pumpkin was carved in the likeness of the late rock and roll artist Ozzie Osbourne at Operation Pumpkin in Hamilton, Ohio.
Photos of it have been spotted on websites across the U.S. and around the world.
The first WRBI/5 Oaks Garden Center Giant Veggie Contest was held in 2005. You can find out more about it by clicking here.
