
(Lawrenceburg, IN) – In recognition of Fire Prevention Week last week, Sycamore Gas Company donated a total of $3,500 to seven volunteer fire departments throughout its service area.
Each department received a $500 contribution to support their ongoing efforts to keep local families and communities safe.
This year’s donations were awarded to:
- Miller-York Volunteer Fire Department
- New Trenton Volunteer Fire Department
- Bright Volunteer Fire Department
- Brookville Volunteer Fire Department
- Aurora Volunteer Fire Department
- Rising Sun Volunteer Fire Department
- Cedar Grove Volunteer Fire Department
“Volunteer firefighters are the backbone of our communities,” said Jonell Carver, COO of Hope Utilities, the parent company of Sycamore Gas. “We are grateful for their service and commitment, and we are honored to support their mission to protect lives and property.
Sycamore Gas has a strong connection to the fire service. Aaron Lambert, Operations Manager at Sycamore, proudly serves as a volunteer firefighter with the Brookville Volunteer Fire Department.
