
(Greendale, IN) – Thirty-eight-year-old Troy Thomas is charged with Dealing in Methamphetamine (Level 2 felony) following an investigation into meth distribution that was started early this year by the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office.
During the investigation, undercover detectives with the Special Crimes Unit purchased over 111 grams of suspected methamphetamine from Thomas, according to the sheriff’s office.
Thomas was arrested on Wednesday in Greendale at a location where he often allegedly sold suspected narcotics.
He was allegedly in possession of 117.9 grams of methamphetamine when he was picked up.
Thomas allegedly distributed large amounts of meth in Dearborn County for several years.
The sheriff’s office says Thomas, who is from Cincinnati, has a lengthy rap sheet in Hamilton County, including robbery, multiple weapons charges and trafficking in drugs.
He’s being held in the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center without bond pending an initial hearing.
