Life Without Parole Sought Against Dearborn Co. Murder Suspect

(Lawrenceburg, IN) – Dearborn County Prosecutor Lynn Deddens has filed a Notice of Intent to seek Life Imprisonment without Parole against Brent Wellman.

He’s accused of shooting and killing Dennis Adams Jr. during an incident in Dillsboro on August 14.

Adams was the new boyfriend of Wellman’s ex-girlfriend.

The 33-year-old Wellman, who is from Seymour, is charged with Murder, Resisting Law enforcement, and a felony Firearm Enhancement.

He’s being held without bond in the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center.

An initial hearing on the firearm enhancement will be held in Dearborn Circuit Court.
