James M. “Jim” Dwyer

James Martin “Jim” Dwyer, age 83 of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Metamora, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the UC West Chester Hospital in West Chester, Ohio.  Born March 5, 1942, in Dayton, Ohio, he is the son of Robert and Mary (Nee: Martin) Dwyer.  He married Patricia Ann Erhart on November 18, 1967, at the College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati and she preceded him in death on April 25, 2018.

Jim was a devout family man who focused his attention on his spouse, children, and grandchildren. He was also devoted to his church and faith and enjoyed making and donating rosaries every year for children making their first communion. For many years Jim was a dedicated volunteer for the Marian apparition sites in Falmouth Kentucky and Conyers Georgia.

He is survived by his sons Sean (Nicki) Dwyer of Cincinnati and Patrick (Nica) Dwyer of Metamora, Indiana; daughter Mollie (Jeff) Peters of Cincinnati; brother Robert Dwyer of Cincinnati; grandchildren Mary, Ana, Sean, Samuel, Joseph, Thomas, and August Dwyer and Timothy Peters.

Jim is also preceded in death by his brother, Tom Dwyer, sister-in-law Audrey Dwyer, and brother-in-law, Thomas “Bud” Erhart.

Visitation is Friday, October 10th, from 10 – 11:45 a.m., at the Weigel Funeral Home in Batesville, Indiana, with a rosary service starting the visitation at 10 a.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 p.m., at St. Louis Catholic Church, with Fr.
