RSRF Awards 3rd Quarter Grants

(Rising Sun, IN) – The Rising Sun Regional Foundation (RSRF) awarded a total of $262,950 in new grants in the third quarter of 2025.

These grants included:

  • City of Rising Sun, $12,000 for equipment replacement;
  • Delaware Community Volunteer Fire Department, $35,000 for truck updates and repairs;
  • Friendship Volunteer Fire Department, $27,000 for hose replacement;
  • New Horizons Rehabilitation, $22,000 for client transportation;
  • Ohio County Council, $20,000 for courthouse windows;
  • Ohio County Rescue, $40,000 for a new ambulance;
  • Ripley County Humane Society, $5,000 for an automatic gate and perimeter security;
  • Rising Sun Municipal Utilities, $20,000 for sewer pipe lining;
  • Rising Sun Ohio County Senior Citizens Housing, $31,950 for a vinyl plank flooring project;
  • South Ripley Community School Corporation, $10,000 for baseball field renovation;
  • The Parker Education Foundation, $5,000 for equipment; and,
  • Town of Versailles, $35,000 for Tyson Memorial Sports Complex expansion.

Applications for the fourth grant cycle of 2025 must be submitted by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Applicants are advised to review the grant guidelines and criteria carefully before submitting an application. The Rising Sun Regional Foundation serves Ohio County, Ripley County, and the cities of Aurora and Batesville.

Established in 1994, the Foundation is funded by the Rising Star Casino & Resort, which is owned by Full House Resorts, Inc. The casino makes monthly contributions to the Foundation based on a percentage of its Adjusted Gross Revenue.

To date, the Foundation has received over $46 million in casino funds, with at least 75% of that amount granted back to the community.
