Mayma Miller (née Hoskins), age 91, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025. She was born in Middleboro, Kentucky, and devoted her life to serving others with compassion, faith, and love.
Mayma worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years and was proud to be one of the first nurses at Dearborn County Hospital. Her dedication to caregiving extended beyond her profession, as she spent nearly 30 years teaching Sunday school, sharing her deep faith in Jesus, and touching countless lives through her ministry.
A talented and creative soul, Mayma loved all things arts and crafts. She especially enjoyed painting and crocheting, creating countless baby blankets, booties, and hats for newborns at the local hospital – each made with love and care.
Mayma is survived by her beloved children, Rebecca (Mike) Lucas and Robert Miller; her grandchildren, Sam (Ashley) Moffitt, Jared (Mila) Moffitt, and Candace (Patrick) McGee; and her great-grandchildren, Dakota, Michael, and James. She was also blessed with a great-great-granddaughter, Lena. Mayma is also survived by her siblings, Everett Hoskins, Paul Hoskins, and Izetta Padgett.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Miller; her parents, Charles and Nancy Hoskins; and her brother, Silas Hoskins.
Funeral services will be held at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home on Monday, September 29th, with visitation from 1:00-3:00 PM and services beginning at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mayma’s honor to the Aurora Life Squad or Wilmington Hill Wesleyan Church.
Mayma’s legacy of faith, service, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
