(Osgood, IN) – The Ripley County Community Foundation, Inc., through its Ripley Youth Outreach program, proudly hosted the 6th annual Chalktoberfest on Saturday, September 20, 2025, during Osgood’s Bricktoberfest.
This year’s event brought together artists of all ages and community members to celebrate creativity, culture, and connection.
Chalktoberfest is a vibrant chalk art competition that showcases local talent and fosters a deeper appreciation for the arts. Traditionally a platform for junior high and high school students, the
event expanded in 2025 to include an Adult Division, reflecting the community’s growing enthusiasm for public art and creative expression.
This year’s theme, “Around the World,” invited artists to explore global cultures, landmarks, and traditions through chalk murals. Thirteen participants transformed South Walnut Street into a
colorful celebration of international inspiration.
A panel of judges, including local artists, community members, and Ripley Youth Outreach students, had the challenging task of selecting winners from among the outstanding entries.
Prizes were awarded to the top three artists in each division:
Adult Division
• 1st Place: Megan Bauer
• 2nd Place: Rosie Fen
• 3rd Place: Kaylee Davis
High School Division
• 1st Place: Bella Weberding
• 2nd Place: Allie Peetz
• 3rd Place: Carmen Camarena
Junior High Division
• 1st Place: Tracynt McKeown

• 3rd Place: Lucy Yatsko
“We are thrilled to see how Chalktoberfest continues to grow and engage more members of our community,” said Amy Streator, Executive Director of the Ripley County Community Foundation. “Adding the adult division was an exciting milestone that highlights the community’s passion for the arts and creates opportunities for artists of every age to share their talents.”
The Ripley County Community Foundation extends heartfelt thanks to the Batesville Area Arts Council for their generous sponsorship, which helped make the event possible. The Community
Foundation also expresses sincere appreciation to the Town of Osgood and the Bricktoberfest Committee for their enthusiastic partnership and for providing a welcoming space to celebrate
the arts during this community festival.
