In Week 6 high school football action last night on the Sports Voice, Lawrenceburg rolled over Batesville 48-6, and East Central crushed South Dearborn 66-6.

Elsewhere around the area, it was Franklin County over Greensburg 21-7; Milan throttled Brown County 68-8; in the battle of ranked teams, Class 2A #8 Linton-Stockton bested 1A #1 and previously unbeaten North Decatur 38-20; Cloverdale hammered South Decatur 47-3, and Lapel dumped Rushville 41-8.

Best of luck to local teams and golfers taking part in the IHSAA girls golf regional in Franklin. Batesville, East Central and Greensburg are teeing it up at the Legends Golf Club, along with individual golfers Mary Stier from North Decatur and Franklin County’s Emma Tolhurst.

The Reds beat the Brewers 3-1 in the series opener last night in Milwaukee. With the win and the Mets 6-2 loss to the Miami Marlins, the Reds draw even with New York in the NL Wild Card standings but own the tiebreaker with two games left. Andrew Abbott gets the start for the Reds in tonight’s middle game of the series. Coverage begins at 6:45 on 103.9 FM.

The Las Vegas Aces topped the Indiana Fever 84-72 in Game 3 of the WNBA Semifinals last night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Kelsey Mitchell led Indiana with 21 points. Lexie Hull recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. The Aces hold a two games to one lead the in the best-of-five series heading into Game Four tomorrow afternoon in downtown Indianapolis.

In college football on this Saturday, 11th ranked Indiana visits Iowa; #22 Notre Dame heads to Arkansas, and UC opens Big 12 play at Kansas. Purdue and Ball State have the weekend off.

The Indianapolis Colts are on the West Coast to battle the Los Angeles Rams tomorrow. Kickoff is at 4:05…The Cincinnati Bengals visit the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football.
