EC Seniors Sweep Versailles Pumpkin Show Crowns

(Versailles, IN) – It was a Red and Black sweep.

East Central High School seniors claimed both the King and Queen contests at the kickoff of the 122nd Versailles Pumpkin Show on Wednesday evening.

Tyler Stenger was named King, while classmate Callie Bentley was crowned Queen.

Ben Knowlton, representing the Southeastern Career Center, was King runner-up.

Lawrenceburg High School’s Alex Rummel was runner-up in the Queen Contest.

Stenger and Bentley were each presented a $1,000 scholarship from Ivy Tech Community College.

Eleven Southeastern Indiana high schools were represented in Wednesday evening’s King and Queen contests.

The Versailles Pumpkin Show is presented by the Versailles Lions Club and runs through Sunday.
