(Greensburg, IN) – The Hospital Foundation of Decatur County (Hospital Foundation) hosted its 10th annual Tee Off “Fore” Ta-Tas on Friday, September 12, and raised $30,933 in support of the Pink Ribbon Fund, which ensures that those in need can receive lifesaving annual mammograms at Decatur County Memorial Hospital (DCMH).

While donations are accepted year-round, September and October mark an especially active time for fundraising and awareness efforts through Tee Off “Fore” Ta-Tas and PINK OUT events.

Tee Off “Fore” Ta-Tas isn’t your typical golf outing; it’s an evening of laughter, awareness, support for those battling breast cancer, or honoring lost loved ones.

Teams of four register with a breast health-inspired name, coordinate costumes, and take on lighthearted games across the course.

While golf skills aren’t required, scores are tallied, and two top prizes are awarded: The Course Games Award, presented by North Branch Golf Course owner Mary Lou Gauck and PGA Head Professional Angela Belter; and the People’s Choice Award, chosen by judges for the most creative team name and costume.

This year, 45 teams joined in the fun. Honda’s team secured the Course Games Award, while Rehabilitation Services’ team captured the crowd’s attention and took home the People’s Choice Award.

Participants also enjoyed a meal prepared by DCMH Dietary, cookies by Carrie Ramer, a walk on the Pink Carpet, raffles, and other activities.

“Tee Off ‘Fore’ Ta-Tas is our community coming together with hope, compassion, and determination,” said Mandy Lohrum, Hospital Foundation Director. “Every sponsorship and every dollar raised brings us closer to ensuring every woman receives the care she needs.”

Funds raised at the event allow DCMH to provide preventive mammogram screenings to the community. These screenings are vital to early detection and play a critical role in the effective treatment of breast cancer.

The Hospital Foundation thanks all those who attended or supported Tee Off “Fore” Ta-Tas and for their continued support.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, contributes to the Hospital Foundation’s mission of supporting DCMH by advancing the health and wellness in the community.
