Michael Patrick “Mike” Patterson, age 64 of Hamburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born September 23, 1960, in Batesville, Indiana, he is the son of Robert and Bertha (Nee: Dwenger) Patterson. Mike was a Machinist for the Hill-Rom Company in Batesville for 33 years, before retiring in 2016.
Mike was a simple guy who enjoyed learning about history. He was a fan of John Deere and maintained his property with their equipment. In recent years, he enjoyed small crafts to occupy his downtime, such as building small wood projects.
He is survived by his sister Cindy (Denny) Lamping of Hamburg; brothers Dan Patterson and Bill (Shelly) Patterson, all of Hamburg, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his stepson Rob Vance.
Visitation is Thursday, September 18th, from 9 – 11 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church – St. John Campus in Enochsburg, Indiana. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m., at the church, with Fr. Bill Ehalt officiating. The burial will be at St. Anne’s Cemetery in Hamburg.
