(Decatur County, IN) – The Decatur County Democrat Central Committee will host its annual Bobby Kennedy Dinner on Tuesday, September 30 at 6 p.m. at Heritage Hill Events.

This year’s featured speaker is civil rights activist and Freedom Rider Joan Browning.

The Freedom Riders were civil rights activists who rode interstate buses into the segregated South in the 1960s to challenge non-enforcement of Supreme Court rulings that declared segregation on interstate transportation unconstitutional.

The evening will include a buffet-style catered dinner.

Tickets are $35 per person or $60 per couple.

Reservations are requested by September 23 and may be mailed to:

Ryan Maddux, 225 N. Stewart Street, Greensburg, IN 47240, or submitted via Venmo: @Ryan-Maddux-8.

If you have questions, call or text (812) 593-1421.
