North Decatur girls golf won a tri match at Timbergate Golf Course in Edinburgh last evening. As a team the Chargers shot a 220. Neither host Edinburgh nor Hauser had enough golfers to post a team score. North Decatur’s Carmen Thackery was medalist with a 53. The Chargers will be back on the course on Tuesday for a tri match at Lawrenceburg with Jac-Cen-Del.

The Reds open a huge three-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers tonight in downtown Cincinnati. The Brewers have the best record in baseball at 76-44 and have won 12 straight. Milwaukee holds an eight-game lead over second place Chicago in the National League Central Division. The Reds are 64-58 and a half game behind the Mets for the third and final NL Wild Card spot after New York lost at home 4-3 last night to Atlanta. Nick Martinez starts tonight for Cincinnati. He’s 10-9 with a 4.49 ERA. Coverage begins at 6:10 on 103.9 FM.

The Indiana Fever signed guard Kyra Lambert to a seven-day contract. Lambert fills a roster spot created by season ending injuries to guards Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald. Lambert comes to Indiana after having played professionally in Europe. This is her first chance at playing in the WNBA. The team is also awaiting the return of Caitlin Clark, who has missed 11 straight games with a groin injury. The Fever takes on the Washington Mystics tonight at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Tipoff is at 7:30.

The Indiana Pacers 2025-26 schedule is out, and the team will open the new year with an NBA Finals rematch against the Oklahoma City Thunder on October 23 at Gainbridge. Other highlights of the Blue and Gold’s schedule includes the return of Myles Turner to Indy with the Milwaukee Bucks on November 3 and December 23; the New York Knicks visit December 18 and March 13; Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors come in on November 1; LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers come calling on March 25; and the Pacers will play nine nationally televised games, including one on ESPN, one on NBC, and four streaming on Amazon and three on Peacock.
