The Pirates rallied to knock off the Reds 3-2 in Pittsburgh in a game heard last night on WRBI. Brian Reynolds two-run triple in the bottom of the 8th inning off Tony Santillan lifted the Pirates to the win. The Reds have dropped three straight. Santillan was tagged with the loss. Chase Burns started and did not figure into the decision but was brilliant. He gave up one run on three hits with one walk and 10 strikeouts. Gavin Lux went 3 for 4 at the plate and scored twice. Tyler Stephenson had two doubles. Game three of the series is tonight. Nick Martinez makes the start for Cincinnati. 6:10 is airtime on 103.9 FM.
The Indiana Fever return home from their western road trip when they take on the Chicago Sky in WNBA action tonight. Tipoff in downtown Indianapolis is 8 p.m….
The Fever announced yesterday Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald are out for the season. Colson tore her left ACL Thursday night at Phoenix, while McDonald broke a bone in her foot. Those injuries leave the Fever without a healthy point guard on the roster. Caitlin Clark remains sidelined with a right groin injury and no timetable for her return.
