BAAC Presents Cirque US This Weekend

(Batesville, IN) – The Batesville Area Arts Council (BAAC) presents Cirque US on Saturday, August 9 in the Batesville High School Auditorium—a full day of interactive workshops and  live shows that celebrate creativity, performance, and community.

At 10 a.m., you can engage with circus professionals through fun, hands‑on sessions for all ages:

  • Family Circus Workshop (all ages, 45 minutes): Human pyramids, tumbling, juggling, acrobatics, and clowning.
  • Juggling Workshop (8+, 45–90 minutes): Learn to juggle three balls, partner games, and coordination skills.
  • Clowning Workshop (8+, 45–90 minutes): Improv, slapstick, and gag-writing to build confidence and performance flair.

“Rag Tag: A Circus in Stitches” begins at 2 p.m. and is a family-friendly matinee blending aerialists, jugglers, and musicians in a whimsical tale of connection and creativity.

“One Man’s Trash” at 7 p.m. is an evening performance where every day discarded objects become spectacular acrobatic art.
