Helen Mae Nobbe, age 96 of Oldenburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025, at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville, Indiana. Born September 22, 1928, in Ripley County Indiana, she is the daughter of Theodore and Garnet (Nee: Nickell) Dickman. She married Charles Nobbe on September 18, 1947, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on September 20, 2010.
Helen was a homemaker and a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Hamburg, Indiana. Helen was a dedicated mother who spent her life caring for her daughter, Sharon, who needed her mother’s special attention throughout her life. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers and her garden, which also included canning and preserving her produce.
She is survived by her brother Lawrence Dickman of Batesville, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband Charlie, Helen was preceded in death by her daughter Sharon Nobbe, sister Juanita Nobbe, and brother Bruce Dickman.
Visitation is Friday, August 1st, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church in Oldenburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 p.m. at the church, with Fr. John Barker, OFM officiating. The burial will be at St. Anne’s Cemetery in Hamburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ruth Lyons Children’s Fund. For online condolences go to www.weigelfh.com.
