The ESPY Awards were held last night, which honor the accomplishments of athletes in variety of sports in the last year.

Among those honored was former IU football coach Lee Corso.

He was given a tribute by the crew at ESPN for his work on “College Gameday.”

Corso has been a part of the show for 38 years, and next month will be his final appearance on the program for the season opener between Texas and Ohio State.

In a short speech, Corso said his goal on TV was “to bring a smile to everyone’s faces. I hope I have done that.”

Corso is 89 years old.
