Ripley Co. Fair Report for Sunday, July 20, 2025

The Ripley County 4-H Fair rolls into a full slate of events today, kicking off at 10 a.m. with the Horse and Pony Western Show at the Equine Center. At 3 p.m., feathers will fly during the 4-H Poultry Show in the Poultry Barn.

From 4 to 5 p.m., fairgoers can gather at the Free Stage for the Vesper Service, while the 4-H Summer Judging Contest gets underway at the Show Arena.

The official Grand Opening of the 2025 Ripley County Fair starts at 6 p.m. on the Free Stage. The celebration includes a ribbon cutting, recognition of corporation members, crowning of the 4-H Junior Leader Royalty, presentation of the 2025 Miss Ripley County Queen and Court, and the 4-H Club Banner Parade.

Following the parade, stick around for the 4-H Fashion Revue and Style Show, with the Exhibit Hall Project Awards Program wrapping up the evening at 7:30 p.m., all at the Free Stage.

Meanwhile, over at the grandstand, it’s time for some friendly competition with the Barnyard Olympics. Games begin at 7 p.m., with registration from 6 to 6:45. Teams of four youths can join for $20 per team or $5 per person.

It’s a packed day of 4-H pride, pageantry, and good old-fashioned fun.
