It’s a full day at the Decatur County Fair, starting this morning at 9 with the Horse and Pony Show in the Horse Arena. At 11, the action shifts to the Livestock Pavilion for the Sheep Show.
At 4 p.m., all eyes turn to downtown for the annual fair parade. This year’s theme, “The Year of the Farmer,” honors the Decatur County Farm Families, recognized statewide and serving as this year’s grand marshals. Stick around after the parade for the crowd-favorite Barnyard Olympics, back in the Livestock Pavilion.
From 6 to 9, Tom Richardson and the Silver Spurs Band bring classic country and high-energy hits to the Farm and Home Building stage.
The midway opens at 5 for Decatur County Community Appreciation Night, with every ride discounted by one ticket.
And don’t miss tonight’s grandstand event: the Southern Indiana Dirt Drags. Gates open at 4, and engines fire up at 6:30. General admission is $10, pit passes are $20, and kids 5 and under are free.
